About me
Betsy Tuma, MFA, is a design educator and writer based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She teaches in the Multimedia Graphic Design program at Pikes Peak State College, where she helps students rediscover curiosity, confidence, and creative risk-taking. Her MFA in Design Thinking is from Radford University, where her thesis explored how humor and improvisation build creative self-efficacy. Her recent work, “Curiosity Over Mastery,” examines how creative and critical thinking function as one process in the age of AI. When she is not teaching, she enjoys reading, playing with her dog, and hoarding art supplies.
